Welcome to the Purdue FIRST Programs College Conference Page.
FIRST Robotics programs, including FIRST Lego® League and FIRST Tech Challenge, designed for young people ages 9-14, as well as FIRST Robotics Competition, aimed toward high school students, have continued to experience growth and increased participation. Much of this success can be attributed to the mentoring efforts of countless mentors and professionals, who have dedicated their time to working with kids in their community and sharing their knowledge and passion.
We would like to share with you our experience in developing and sustaining an active university level FIRST program that provides opportunities for university students, many of them are FIRST alumni, to serve as mentors and role models for youths in the local communities. Realizing the unique service and experiential learning opportunities for our students, we have integrated the student organization with a 2 credit-hour, two semester leadership course. In this website you will find information regarding the Purdue FIRST Programs and the associated FIRST Leadership class. We are continuing to explore new ways to leverage and broaden our impact and provide leadership experience for our students. If you have any additional questions, comments or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
