Robotics Regional Competition
FIRST Robotics Competition events are, in the words of our teams, "full of passion, excitement, joy, and sorrow...the thrill of success and the agony of defeat." The FIRST Robotics Competition has grown to 30 events, one of which is the Boilermaker Regional competition hosted by Purdue FIRST Programs. Teams from the United States, Canada, Brazil, Great Britain, Ecuador, Israel and possibly additional countries are expected to compete in FIRST events this year.
The Regional Committee part of Purdue FIRST Programs helps the Boilermaker Regional Planning Committee organize the Boilermaker Regional. Members of the regional committee help coordinate the concessions, team social, awards, and Lego demonstrations. Members of Purdue FIRST Programs also volunteer at the regional.
This year the Boilermaker Regional will run from Thursday, March 19th through Saturday, March 21st.

LEGO League Qualifying Tournament
Purdue FIRST Programs is also the proud host of a LEGO League Qualifying Tournament. These events allow team members to come together to celebrate their accomplishments and recognize teams for their excellence in various aspects of the process. Robot design and performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, and documented research are some criteria the judges use to determine award winners and present the trophies that signify team excellence.
The Regional Committee of Purdue FIRST Programs helps to coordinate the Boilermaker LEGO League Qualifying Tournament held each year in December. Members of the regional committe serve as judges, arrange awards, set up, and clean up after the event. Winners from the qualifying tournament will go on to compete in the state competition.
